Purple Diamonds (2017)

Created in the solitude of a mentor's studio, this piece captures an idea born entirely outside of assignments, poured straight onto canvas in oil paint. It was a self-directed exercise in letting my mind flow into whatever felt beautiful: gold, darker skin, dreadlocks, the color purple, and a background depicting my never-ending (yet beautiful) thoughts.
